In Data management >> Create transaction, you can enter Mutual funds, Shares, Bonds, Fixed Deposits and Other assets like PMS, AIF, Real Estate and any other type of asset manually or via Excel bulk upload.
To enter mutual funds click on the add transaction button
- Select the investor, enter the date and the transaction type
- Choose folio type as Existing or New and enter the folio number
- Search and choose a scheme next. When you select the scheme, the NAV will be auto-populated, you just have to enter the units and then amount will be auto-populated and then click on submit.
So this way you can enter Purchase, sell and all types of transactions for mutual funds. You can also upload this via Excel. There is an upload icon besides the Add transaction button. A sample format can be downloaded, which can be filled and uploaded to enter mutual funds via bulk upload.
You can also upload the NJ and Prudent and Funds India transaction file which can be downloaded from their platforms into investmill and that can be updated in the client's portfolio as manually entered mutual funds.
Here, if you go to the Share & Bond tab you can enter Listed Shares and Bonds here the same way you enter Mutual funds. Change the toggle on the top from Summary to Transaction then you'll see 3 methods to add data.
Once you add a transaction via Add Transaction button or upload via Excel format the system performs Backdated Corporate action of Dividends, Interest, Split on the data automatically. This ensure the Portfolio value is shown is correct.
Please note, Shares Merger and Demerger is not handled by the system. It has to be done manually by you.
We also support contract note for 84 share brokers. The purchase and sale transactions will be taken by Investwell from the Contact note PDF file. And Corporate action will be applied on them.

From Other Assets tab, you can create an Asset with a intial Purchase value and Current value. Then you can add Subsequent Current values periodically. This can be done from the Add Current value option besides each Other Asset row in the table. If any additional Purchase or Sell happens you can enter that from the the Add Transaction button besides each Other Asset row in the table.
Both the Current value and Transactions have separate Excel file formats which can be used to bulk upload the data. Please note The transaction file is used to create the asset so it has to be uploaded first and then the current value file can be uploaded.
