Recommendations Module

The Recommendations module allows brokers to track, manage, and share Buy, Sell, or Hold calls on mutual fund schemes. It consolidates all recommendations in one place with remarks, making investment communication structured and consistent.

How to use this feature

If you’re exploring this feature for the first time, head over to the All section. Here, you’ll see schemes sorted by the highest to lowest managed AUM. This gives you a quick sense of the most significant schemes, helpful for deciding where to start adding your recommendations.

There are three main ways to add a recommendation:

Using the Add Recommendation Button

Click the Add Recommendation button at the top of the page. Enter your scheme name, choose the recommendation type, and add remarks.

Bulk Upload

For larger updates, use bulk upload. You can:

  • Download the Sample File, which includes a few example schemes.

  • Or export an XLSX file of the “All” tab, which lists all eligible schemes.

Simply fill in the recommendation type and remarks for each scheme.
Note: you can upload up to 500 schemes at a time, as long as each entry includes a valid recommendation type.

From the actions menu

Find your target scheme on the screen, click Actions > Add Recommendation. The scheme name will already be filled in; you just need to select the recommendation type and add your remarks.

Recommendation history

To view the history of a recommendation, click on the scheme name from the recommendations page, or select "View History" from the actions menu of a scheme. This allows you to track and maintain a record of all recommendations given.

Visibility

By default, all broker users can see the recommendations feature while only admin has the add/edit access. This can modified easily from Settings > User Settings > Access Permissions > Portfolio Management > Recommendations

Best Practices

  • Prioritize schemes with high Managed AUM or Invested Clients count.

  • To avoid entering incorrect scheme names in Bulk Upload, download eligible schemes sheet from XLSX export of All section which will have correct scheme names
