Introduction
A Relationship Manager (RM) plays a key role in managing client interactions, tracking investments, and providing personalised financial guidance. Assigning an RM to your clients ensures a structured approach to client servicing, allowing for better portfolio management and communication.
In this article, we will walk you through the steps to assign a Relationship Manager to your clients, helping you streamline your advisory processes efficiently.
When Should You Assign a Relationship Manager?
The need for a Relationship Manager (RM) depends on the size of your client base and the level of personalised service you aim to provide. Here are some key considerations:
Small Client Base (Up to 50 Clients):
If you are handling a limited number of clients, you may not need a dedicated RM. You can manage client relationships directly and assign an RM later as your business grows.Growing Client Base (50–200 Clients):
As your number of clients increases, assigning an RM can help streamline communication and ensure that each investor gets the attention they need. This prevents service delays and enhances client satisfaction.Large Client Base (200+ Clients):
With a high number of clients, it becomes essential to assign multiple RMs or Sub-Brokers. This ensures efficient delegation of tasks, better portfolio tracking, and improved client engagement.High-Net-Worth (HNI) or Special Clients:
Regardless of client volume, if you manage HNI clients or specialised portfolios, assigning a dedicated RM can provide a more personalised and proactive approach to wealth management.
By assigning RMs strategically, you can ensure a well-structured advisory business that scales smoothly while maintaining strong client relationships.
Before assigning an RM to your clients, ensure that both the clients and the RM are already created in the system.
